Education department

A patient who understands does better.

Which is why the clinic runs a department for it — a daily discussion, a library, exhibitions, a book, and an annual convention.

12:30 PM

Every day, in the clinic auditorium

आरोग्यावर बोलू काही — संवाद डॉक्टरां सोबत

An open discussion on diabetes and thyroid health, every afternoon at half past twelve, in the clinic's own auditorium. It is a conversation, not a lecture — patients bring the questions.

Patients and families are welcome. No appointment needed, no fee.

Why it exists

Instructions get forgotten. Understanding doesn't.

A consultation lasts a few minutes; the condition lasts decades. Whatever a patient does in those decades depends less on what they were told once, and more on whether they understood why.

So the clinic treats education as clinical work rather than goodwill — with a department, a budget, a library, a daily class and an annual convention behind it.

What's available

Everything a patient
can use.

Dietitian guidance

Personal diet planning around your real meals, household and budget — plus exercise guidance suited to your age and condition.

Diet exhibition

A permanent display showing what a portion actually looks like, which is far more useful than a number on a page.

Footwear exhibition

What protective footwear for a diabetic foot looks like, and why ordinary chappals cause trouble.

Health library

An independent reading room for patients, with books and periodicals on diabetes and general health.

The clinic's book

मधुमेह चिकित्सा व उपचार — written by Dr. Malpani in Marathi, for patients rather than for doctors.

Wall displays

Posters and charts through the clinic, refreshed regularly — because waiting time is reading time.

Daily awareness class

The 12:30 PM discussion in the auditorium, every day, open to patients and their families.

Annual diabetes convention

वार्षिक मधुमेह महामेळावा — a large yearly gathering for patients and families.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

How do I book an appointment?
Call any of the clinic numbers, send a WhatsApp message to 70660 58722, or use the form on the contact page. Please call before coming, so you can confirm the clinic is open that day.
Do I need to fast before coming?
If a fasting blood sugar or lipid profile is needed, yes — come in the morning without breakfast. The laboratory opens at 7:00 AM and there is a canteen for afterwards, before a post-meal sample. If you are unsure, ask when you book.
Will I get my reports the same day?
Most routine tests are reported the same day, which is why the laboratory opens three hours before consultation begins. Ask at the desk which of your particular tests will be ready in time.
What is a Clinic ID, and why does it matter?
Every patient is given a reference number, carried on a barcode, which links to their electronic medical record. Quoting it means your entire history — every previous report — is in front of the doctor before you sit down.
Can I get advice without coming in?
Regular patients can use e-consultation by email or WhatsApp, quoting their registration number. It is meant for follow-up on an established plan, not for a first assessment or a new problem.
What does NABH accreditation mean?
The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers independently assesses a healthcare facility against standards for patient safety, clinical protocols, infection control, staff competence and record keeping. It is voluntary, audited, and has to be maintained.

Let's look at it together.

Call any of the clinic numbers before you visit to confirm timings. Existing patients — keep your Clinic ID handy so your records are ready before you arrive.
