Since 1993

Preserving sweetness of life, decreasing sweetness in blood.

United Diabetes and Endocrine Clinic has looked after diabetes, thyroid, hormonal and metabolic conditions in Nanded since 1993 — as the work, not as a sideline.

Accredited by NABH — the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers An independent assessment of patient safety, clinical protocols, infection control and record keeping.

Who we are

A specialist practice, not a general one.

The clinic was established in 1993 to give patients in Nanded and the surrounding districts focused, specialist-led care for diabetes and endocrine disease — rather than having these managed as one concern among many in a general practice.

Over three decades it has grown into a complete centre: six care units covering the heart, nerves, kidneys, feet and eyes, a full pathology laboratory, a pharmacy stocked for diabetes, a diabetes education department with its own library and auditorium, and electronic medical records that keep every patient's history in one place.

What has not changed is the premise. Diabetes is a condition you live with for decades, so the clinic is built for the long relationship rather than the single visit.

Approach

Care here begins with listening. Before a plan is written, the consultation covers what you eat, when you eat it, what your work asks of your body, what you can realistically keep up, and what has already failed for you. A plan that ignores those details is a plan that gets abandoned within a month.

Beyond the consultation, Dr. Malpani runs a daily open discussion for patients in the clinic auditorium, has written a Marathi book on diabetes treatment for patients, and organises the clinic's annual diabetes convention — because a patient who understands their own condition manages it better than one who is only given instructions.

Everything in one building

What the clinic holds.

Tests, treatment, medicines, records and education, so that following a plan does not mean travelling across the city for every step.

Six care unitsCardiac and vascular, neuropathy, kidney, foot, eye, and a full pathology laboratory.
Twelve special clinicsPregnancy, childhood, obesity, hypertension, insulin pump, CGMS, thyroid and more.
Physical assessmentHeight, weight, waist-hip ratio, BMI, InBody and computerised body fat analysis.
Electronic medical recordsA reference number and barcode for every patient, so reports never go missing.
PharmacyMedicines, glucometers, strips, diabetic footwear, sandals and socks, with home delivery.
CanteenFor fasting and post-meal tests, so nobody waits hungry between two samples.
Health libraryBooks, wall displays and a daily awareness class, open to patients.
AuditoriumHome of the daily 12:30 PM patient discussion and the annual diabetes convention.
E-consultationAdvice by email or WhatsApp for regular patients, using their registration number.
भोजनालयA separate dining room with tables, chairs and filtered water, so nobody has to travel home and back between a fasting and a post-meal sample. You may bring your own tiffin.
बालोद्यानA garden for children with diabetes, so that coming to the clinic feels like an outing rather than an ordeal. It has made a real difference to how young patients take their treatment.
Permanent diet exhibitionBuilt so that patients who cannot read or write can still see exactly what a portion looks like.
Footwear exhibitionWhat protective footwear for a diabetic foot looks like, on permanent display.
Video wallContinuous diabetes and thyroid information for patients waiting.
Electronic records since 2005Patient data has been fully computerised for two decades — your history is not in a file that can go missing.
Phase IV drug trialsThe clinic takes part in post-marketing research on diabetes medicines.
ISO 9001:2008Standard approval for the diabetes clinic, alongside NABH accreditation.

Under one roof

ECG for the heart, ophthalmoscopy for the eyes and a footscan for the feet, all under one roof — with an independent diabetes educator on the staff to explain what the results mean.

Not only controlling diabetes

मधुमेहावर नियंत्रणच नव्हे तर, देह-चित्तशुद्धीचा मूलमंत्र!

The clinic has always treated diet, exercise, peace of mind and education as part of the treatment, not as advice added at the end of it.

Let's look at it together.

Call any of the clinic numbers before you visit to confirm timings. Existing patients — keep your Clinic ID handy so your records are ready before you arrive.
